About the Job:

The Engine Test & Development Technician supports the business by running engine test operations under the direction of the Test team lead. Duties include control of data logging equipment and monitoring with control of the engine during the test. The role requires strong organisation, attention to detail and confidence working in a workshop environment.

What You'll Do:

1. Engine Testing

  • To fit engines to test stands and assemble instrumentation as required
  • Conduct performance and functional tests
  • Diagnose and resolve issues during testing

2. Engine Register and Documentation

  • Maintain and update test data and configuration logs
  • Ensure all documentation is accurate, complete and traceable

3. Test Rig Assembly and Setup

  • Build and configure test rigs
  • Calibrate and maintain rigs to ensure reliable testing

4. Workshop Equipment Care

  • Commission new workshop equipment
  • Clean and maintain tools and machinery
  • Identify and address equipment issues to minimise downtime

5. Flight Test Support

  • Provide technical support during flight tests
  • Work with the flight test team to resolve technical issues
